Bold Blue Kitchen Renovation in Dublin

This 32m² kitchen renovation transformed a dated layout into a bright, functional, and elegant space built for everyday living. The client’s goal was clear: to add an island, increase countertop space, and create a kitchen that felt both modern and comfortable.

Our team managed the full renovation process from strip-out to final handover, coordinating with the kitchen supplier’s in-house designer to bring the client’s chosen style to life.

Elegant Design with Everyday Practicality

The client came to us with a well-defined vision, choosing every material with care. The kitchen features classic shaker-style doors in a rich dark blue tone, paired with crisp white quartz worktops and a Belfast sink for timeless appeal. A boiling water tap was included as a standout modern convenience, blending style with function.

Although simple in concept, the result is a sophisticated and inviting kitchen that works beautifully for family life and entertaining alike.

Smart Layout and Tailored Adjustments

Because of the kitchen’s width, achieving a spacious island while keeping comfortable movement around it was key. To make it work, we reduced the island’s countertop width by 100mm, ensuring an ideal distance between the island and the surrounding cabinetry without compromising functionality.

Electrical sockets were also fitted within two of the tall units, creating a convenient pantry setup where the client could neatly store and use small appliances like a kettle and toaster.

Attention to Detail and a Smooth Timeline

The project was originally scheduled for three weeks but was completed ahead of time in just two and a half. Thanks to early coordination with the quartz supplier, we secured an earlier installation slot and kept everything on track for a seamless finish.

The completed kitchen balances modern convenience with classic design, combining strong visual impact with practical day-to-day usability.
